I'm not really sure but I thinks it's like when a company releasing a product and only give sneak peaks before they actually make it available.

Promos are the drawn summary of a novel to draw attention to the novel. So when somone says it's not a promo they meant a good thing since most promis are good but are only one shots.

A promo is a manhwa with the purpose of promoting a novel. Meaning, to know the rest of the story, you'd have to read the novel. It basically just shows the trailer or highlights of the novel in manhwa form. Although, there are chances that it could get an adaption, but it would sometimes come out in a different art style.

it's like depression in manhwa form to those who prefer to read in manhwa than novel so finding really good ones that aren't promos are like miracles.
