I’ve heard it’s a genre similar to yaoi manga but featuring more muscular / manly bodies and apparently targeted towards a gay male audience (since yaoi is usually targeted towards straight women). Personally I believe the target audience thing is kinda bull since anyone can enjoy reading anything regardless of genre or sexuality, but that is pretty much the Google definition of the genre
