Immortal love

I'm not sure if I can jump on this ship...

Generally, I'm all for immortals finding love to help brighten their long, lonely lives but she met him as a child, thought of him as a child, has treated him as a child, and nothing more. Their relationship was already established and is the reason why incest is not a thing.

I understand why he has a crush on her but having a maternal figure full in love with her child is just weird. Like they were being groomed or something.

I just can't scrap this p*do feeling off which is why I also dropped "The Tyrant's Guardian is an Evil Witch". Why can't we have a pure maternal story without the creepy romance? ;-;

    I understand that it certainly is wierd for them to build a relationship since it was like her raisiing a child. But where are you getting the child grooming thing from?

    I do not see her seducing, touching or forcing her love on him in anyway? Like did I miss something?
    Why is it child grooming when the kid is the one liking her and not the other way around?
    (serious question)

    I agree. Also, we can already see from the first chapter that there’s a long absence of time between the two, to the point mc didn’t recognize him for a sec. and like, MC is immortal. It comes to a point where like 100 years is like 1 year to them, so age becomes really off. (Which is the only reason why I read either of these things. If the mcs weren’t immortal and they fell in love first, I wouldn’t have read them.)

    I read stories like these and I’m fine with them. But, I get slightly peeved w he n the comments are bombarded with stuff about it being creepy and grooming. Like, that’s not what grooming means. The mcs don’t show attraction to the ml at all when they’re a kid and it’s mostly the ml one-sidedly catching feelings while not being taken seriously.

    Both of these comments are valid. I know she isn't grooming them at all but it still feels weird and off to me.

    True. Usagi drop kind of feeling. However, unlike usagi drop, the “older” person isn’t actually aging so they’re kind of in a grey zone with everything, and it depends on the person in my opinion.

    I agree. It's just weird. They don't have much of a mother - child relationship, but imo it's more like an older sister who happens to be their guardian. Doesn't change how weird that is tho. She helped to raise them :/ I think it'd be a better story without the romancing of either "love interest". The witch hunter is a bastard.

    Yeah I don't like the witch hunter either. If I could I'd get rid of him and his smug ass self in an instant lol

    Agreed. I bet if you sprayed holy water on him, he would melt.

    i agree its not grooming but it just dosnt feel right when a parent child dynamic becomes a "relationship' it just leaves a odd feeling
