I'm terribly sorry if i sound rude, are you really fluent in chinese or you still using machine translator's help?
I put the words in google translate, it said "blame your face", but well papago said "blame yourself for being black", but the meanings from both machine translators are reallly different
I copy pasted the comment from rebby, a native chinese speaker
"hello! wanted to add my 2 cents as a chinese speaker, the phrase 怪你脸黑 directly translated does mean "blame your face for being black" but it actually means "its your fault for being in a bad mood". its a figure of speech in the chinese language and isnt inherently racist. in fact, the language commonly uses color to describe emotions, like red is used for anger/embarrassment, white is used for fear etc. hope this clarifies!ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~"
that part about “blame yourself skin tone” wasn’t it, hope it was a mistake with the translation and not the actual words bc this is literally my favorite right now and I can’t handle such things (⊙…⊙ )
