even the translator is confused. is so unnecessary to make them know each other in their childhood. i hope there is another reason for those chapters. the ml is just a guy with low empaty who does moraly wrong things and accidentaly felt in love with the person he wants revenge. yeah he might have his reasons to become a "villain" but do we need the we met as children and now are bond to each other?
no it's just a special episode that the author said could've happened in a parallel universe. they did not meet as a child hence why it was just a dream not a flashback.
I agree that just over complicated the story and provided no purpose for the actual plot—the whole ‘dream’ shit legit makes no sense and the AU where she wakes up in her middle school body just confused ppl further. The dream thing should have been left out and just put in the AU storyline
