I think Yahwi is more popular in Korea so that usually determines it. Same in Love and Hate Taekyung was more popular in the US but the brother was more popular in Korea so the brother won

Most of the time authors already have the story written out and they just put it together throughout their time making it so she most likely from the begging already planned a end game

I have read that Even after drafting Editors keep eagle eyes on the current trends so the book/toon keep selling. If the air is on cains side or yahwi side the author will make changes accordingly. She won’t want her toon to be dropped for any reason.
Iike everybody will love Cain, but at the end, Yahwi is the the one Jooin will choose.
