It's getting annoying

took the words right out of my mouth cus i highkey agree, i dun think current cayena has developed any romantic feelings for the ml i mean she’s been preoccupied and busy tryna break away from her brother… i really dun blame her lmao ╮(￣▽￣)╭ plus all these “moments” between them is just a natural response to someone super good looking it doesn’t hold any meaning yet at least from cayena’s side

Wrong. Cayena is slowly growing feelings for him, but she only brushes him aside because of the original novel. But she does like him, just not as much as he likes her. I know because I’ve read the novel. The more they encounter each other, the more she likes him.

It hasn’t disappeared. And people are mainly joking when they say stuff like “if you won’t take him, I will.” And fawning over him, and there is nothing wrong with that. Nobody is throwing away that cheering or whatever. Yeah, blah blah she’s stated more than once she doesn’t want to get married or whatever more bullshit, hardly anyone is complaining or crying over that she “rejected” him. Even so, calling people dumb and annoying just cause they want some romance and get a bit sad over FL “rejecting” him is uncalled for and if I were to say, even dumber and more annoying. And you act like her having a romantic partner or romance of any sort will limit her independence, but obviously, Raphael isn’t the type to restrict her. In this chapter he was just being straight forward. Her having romance does not mean that she will lose her independence.

It’s laughable that you even think in the first place that people would think like this. Nobody in these topics is even expressing this thought process.

I wasn't talking about the people who say they'll take ML I'm talking about the ones who blatantly say Cayena is annoying for brushing her feelings off, which I've already stated I don't believe have started to properly develop yet. They completely dismiss the part where she wants to run away and just live her own life cause she's sick and tired of being controlled. Not to say she believes ML will control her, just that she probably wants a break. But people gloss over that fact and believe that her entire character is just underdeveloped simply because she doesn't understand her feelings yet? Or because she doesn't have feelings that are growing as of now. If u scroll hard enough you'll find the complaints about her just brushing feelings off and that makes her character sooo 'annoying'. Which I'm sick of seeing, especially when they sue her 'wanting' to follow the original novel. When she's already aware she's far past that she just wants to live in independence for a bit

True I believe that too but it isn't as obvious and is not her true goal, as of now atleast. And I don't rlly believe Cayena would even bother believing that she should follow the original novel when she's aware she's far pass that. She just believes he still has that phobia (forgot the name) which is completely normal. Because in her past situation she was always annoying him (og Cayena) so her trying to respect his boundaries now isn't her rlly brushing off his feelings nor trying to follow the original novel.

I put it in a sarcastic tone btw, but I did see people in the comments completely ignoring the fact that she doesn't want to be in the empire. And by marrying a precious Duke in that same empire might cause her to be bound here. She's probably gonna make a plan on how to make both things work when she does realize her feelings or when her feelings grow more. But right now they're just brushing it aside still finding it annoying that she denies her feelings.

She’s brushing off his feelings because of his phobia and also because she wanted it to follow the original novel, not just because she wants to respect his boundaries (he has also expressed that he doesn’t mind kissing her bare hand.) she’s going to constantly try and set him up with Olivia even though he doesn’t want it, so that is brushing away/off his feelings.

Because of the novel, she still had this thought process that Olivia and Raphael were meant to be. Even though things won’t exactly happen as it did in the novel, she still tries to set them up. But they don’t even like each other. Although she’s smart, she considered them some sort of characters in the novel... Raphael even had to confront her about it.

YES thank you, revenge now romance later. It's only the beginning and she's been through a lot, you can't expect her to find romance immediately when she's still busy dealing with stuff that held her down before.
