For this story the fact that her personality is so completely different from the original is a major reason for ML attitude change.
Exactly, imagine someone who was obsessive with you and you barely knew them, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, but then when you get to know them they can be someone you chill with. Its kinda like that in a sense(?)
