shibari is another term from kinbaku. they differ in the point of emotional connection; shibari is japanese rope art in terms of bondage, and kinbaku is based on emotional connection and more focussed on the beauty of the rope. but even big japanese names use these interchangeably, and then there's also terms like nawashi, so do with it what you will.
