Anybody know why there's a huge spike in villainess reincarnation manga/manhua/manhwa lately? As in- normal girl wakes up as the villainess in a fantasy world of an otome game or something and realizes she's fated to be killed by one of the love interests in the end? I've seen some variations of how the protagonist goes about her journey, but they basically all have that same premise. Or actually sometimes, the protagonist wakes up as a baby of an evil noble or something lol.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this kind of story but it feels VERY common lately. I don't know ( ̄∇ ̄")
like the person above said, at first it was the unique plot and everyone flocked to it because it was different than the average isekai, but because of that spike there are others copying it as well as more spotlight on those stories :/ essentially it was a unique idea made into a trope
