honestly like sometimes the novel describes things more detailed than the Manhwa and I actually like the novel a lot, it has a different charm than the Manhwa
actually in the translated version basically no character's appearance is described other than the ML lolololol
So I want to make this comment in reply to a lot of people who think that he's slowly falling in love with a bird. This isn't cannon, just my interpretation of it that I think many people are overlooking:
He's not falling in love with a bird, he's becoming more human. And by that I mean, he was obviously cold and rather uncaring for things that didn't pertain to him. Heck, he's even suspicious of her even though she's a bird. But it's also precisely because she's a bird that it allows him to open up a little bit, because if a person tried to do everything she's doing (within reason obviously) he wouldn't let them because he wouldn't trust them for even want to take a chance a trust them.
But because she's a bird, she can do silly antics and such and act out of the ordinary and he's seeing it as new and interesting. So he's becoming interested in this bird, not in a romantic sense, but more so in a sense that he has closed himself off a lot and is sort of just starting to remake that connecting to other people (or in this case a bird).
Think of it like how many people will say their dog is their best friend, and open up to a pet because there's no fear of judgement or set-back, and how animals are always good at wiggling their way into our hearts. Somebody who may seem cold and uncaring towards humans can find themselves caring for animals due to their cute demeanor and innocent nature. The bird can't say words to make misunderstandings or fuck things up for themselves, so there's a bit more trust there since the bird can only show its knowledge and usefulness through actions.
Essentially, her bird form is opening him up as a person, so that when she's back into her body, he'll be more open to her as a human and eventually it'll be easier for him to be romantically interested in her. But right now he's just learning to truly care for another creature in a way he isn't used to since most of it is because of his duty to his country and his king/queen/princes/princesses. So this is a new and unique creature that he's learning to open up to.
