Exactly this is why I hate og FL's that act like that. You'll have these readers saying "but they aren't evil" like you don't have to be evil in order to be a bad person yk. Helena from "kill the villainess" is a prime example of this trope. She said "it's not like that" but didn't do anything to explain the situation and as a result Eris was slapped by the crown prince and threatened by Jason. Helena didn't apologize until they were alone but at that point what does that do. Acting innocent and causing problems is just as bad as actively trying to hurt others.
THIS!! You have to explain what happened otherwise these obsessive ppl (probably men) are going to think you're just being your "kind" self when in reality it REALLY isn't like that. It's so frustrating and i hate the ppl that say "but if she was the fl you would like her"....no tf I wouldn't. I drop stories with naive/"innocent" female leads bc they're annoying and only cause problems. They have the brain of a toddler and it's so fucking annoying.
why did the pink girl just stand there saying “its not like that” without actually properly explaining anything to the annoying asshoIe prince smh,, control ur yellow haired fish miss “female lead”
