Basically everything in the second season. I'm really confused especially in that Sid reveal as a traitor part to where cain gets abilities back through some mumbo jumbo. Really confused from there, also probably cuz at that point there was a lot of over written uploads happening got me confused even more.

Human San, was special and for Hwan, 'eating' him would be like 'eating' 1000 humans and so he would regain his strength and be able to take revenge. This is why San is his main target. The plan was therefore to make Hwan forget San's very existence by passing him into the underworld. With his memory erased, his new target was therefore Eunjae which was worth 100 humans. And San has become a kind of Goblin while testing whether Hwan's memory is erased. And this has been verified. So the plan now is to make San human again and thus make him the main target of Hwan who will feel how special he is so that he owns him again and then he can. be possible to kill him. However, it is dangerous because San could die even if he was promised no .. but hey .. we do not know.

No worries it happens. It's just all part of the confusion. Some of these stories require your full attention and the ones where you can skip 5 chapters and still know what's going on.
I'll explain what's happening ito the characters as the plot doesn't revolve solely around two characters but rather the stories of the following characters are intertwined.
This going to be v long, I apologise in advance (¯▿¯')
*Eunjae
- Human that's being hunted and harrased by Hwan the ghostly monster.
-Parents died in a car accident caused by Hwan.
- Close with San

*Hwan
- The ghostly monster that has been after Eunjae.
- He's trying to collect as much yin energy as possible to build his strength so that he can get his revenge on Guemsun (blue haired goblin) that decapitated him many years ago. According to the story, people that have strong spiritual sight have a lot of yin energy which is what ghostly monsters feed on. However, ghostly monsters can't just take it from them because they have a strong mental fortitude. So to obtain the yin energy, the ghostly monsters have to break down that fortitude, which is usually accomplished by the stronger ones. Hwan broke down Eunjae by first visiting him in his dreams but doing nothing then slowly approaching him until he appeared in the real world and killed his parents. This left Eunjae vulnerable and his yin energy available, which Hwan obtained by possessing Eunjae and r*ping him in his dreams until Eunjae almost died if San didn't save him.

* San (white hair, markings on neck, wrist and ankles)
- First thought to be a goblin but actually a human with a rare spiritual sight.
- San's family has always had some spiritual sight but he and his aunt had the strongest and him even stronger. His mom couldn't support living with him because of his especially strong sight and sent him to go live with his aunt. Hwan picked up on San's spiritual sight but knowing that he couldn't just obtain it, he went after San's aunt to get to San. Since San's sight is rare, his mental fortitude is also especially strong so it would take a lot to break it. Hwan did this by slowly chipping away at San's aunt (which would also chip at San's fortitude) until she committed s*icide. San's aunt's death made him completely vulnerable which allowed Hwan to possess him so that he could consume his yin energy. However Guemsun knew this and was going to kill San (you can't kill ghostly monsters unless they possess a human, and if the host dies they die), upon which Hwan left his body and 20 years later tries to possess Eunjae. San then made a deal with Guemsan that he would enter the underworld while alive then all traces of existence of San would be erased. Since Hwan is a creature of the mortal world this rule would also apply to him and he would forget about San, that way when San appears again later as a human, Hwan wouldn't remember him and he could be used as bait to kill Hwan. San agreed to the plan on condition that he all his memories be erased until it was time.
- San was only able to enter the underworld alive because of his rare spiritual energy.
- Has now regained all his memories

* Guemsun (blue haired goblin)
- Decapitated Hwan many many years back
- Has a sexual relationship with the reaper 704 so he can collect his yang energy
- When Hwan appeared again after Guemsun decapitated him, Geumsan knew that Hwan was on the prowl to collect as much yin energy for his revenge, and would thus have to kill Hwan once and for all. However, as mentioned afore ghostly monsters can't die unless they possess a human and that human dies. Guemsun knew that Hwan was targeting San and even let Hwan possess San so that he could kill him. When a ghostly monster fully consumes their prey, that person's soul can never be reincarnated or saved and is trapped within in the ghostly monster forever. Because Guemsun didn't want that to happen to San's soul, he was fine using him as bait for Hwan and even killing him because at least if San still died human then he's soul could still enter the underworld and be reincarnated. However Guemsun couldn't bringing himself to kill San, letting Hwan escape and making the deal with San.

* Yama
- King of the underworld
- During the time that Hwan was targeting San, he killed many humans, overworking the reapers in underworld with all the deaths, as a diversion to get them off his back while he went after San. Yama and Geumsun knew this knew this, which when they came up with the plan to use San as bait to kill Hwan by allowing Hwan to possess him. However since Geumsun couldn't go through with the original plan, they came up with the new plan of letting San enter the underworld alive and then return to the mortal world later to be used as bait to kill Hwan. To carry out the plan, Yama sent a reaper (who was under 704's charge) to collect San's soul, as he was recorded as "dead", and bring him to the underworld. But letting a living person into the underworld is against the rules and since this cannot be traced back to Yama (which would otherwise undermine his authority leading to chaos), 704 unwittingly took the fall of his subordinate's "mistake".
- Yama is currently trying to pass law to allow certain living individuals into the underworld so that when San is reintroduced back into the mortal world it will be official and not go against any laws.

* Reaper 704
- Took the fall for bringing San to the underworld. Felt responsible towards San and helped him get accustomed to his "goblin life".
-Did not and does not know about Yama and Guemsun's plan regarding San.
- Has sexual relationship with Geumsun so Geumsun can collect yang energy from him. Reminds Guemsun of a human he once loved
- Was locked in a hotel room by Yama to prevent him from interfering/getting caught in the plan.

I laughed so hard at Cain and Sid’d appearances so I will help you out.

Basically, turns out San is not a goblin. He used to be a human with an extremely strong spirit. Hwan makes San his number 1 prey, hunting down his family the same way he did to get to Eunjae. Geumsun (blue hair) stopped Hwan from consuming San, but knowing how Hwan is, he would be more careful now after the incident. Therefore they - Geumsun and Yama and San - joined for a grand trap. They involved 704 who knew nothing about the plan and mistook San as a spirit, then took him to the Underworld. San was living, but then he was not - when a living person enters the Underworld, he disappears from the mortal world and because San was not officially dead, there was no trace of his existence in the Death book either. Efficiently, San (or Suhsan as his real name) never existed. That way, no one would remember him, even Hwan who used to be after him. Geumsun and Yama hoped they could then make him a new person, the perfect prey to catch Hwan. To make it work, they removed his memory and hid him as a goblin until the right time comes.

Season 2 so far has been about this past story, San learning of his past, 704 finally understanding that what happened wasn’t his fault (he was the one who took San into Underworld and blamed himself for it). Now that 704 is catching up and Hwan is on the move, Yama had 704 locked up so he and Geumsun can execute their plan without obstruction. In this chapter, Geumsun asked Yama over to discuss their plan, meanwhile San is still dealing with years worth of painful memory and Eunjae is being considerate of his situation.
