yes they have the same spelling! japanese characters have multiple readings so the part that was supposed to be read "aki" could also be read "ei"

Do "Akito" and "Eighto" have the same spelling in Japanese? Because Hachi first learnt that his name is Eighto after picking up the test paper in Chapter 1. But wouldn't a student normally write their real name on test paper? Especially considering that Akito didn't really like the nickname at first.
