I dont remember about starting chapters its been such a long time, but yes as we move to the the translation does get better.

the translation is suuper stiff and odd the first few chapters. its hard for me to read translations like this, it really takes me out of the story. does it get any better or smoother?? its just hard to read it in this broken english.
