You may be right about a high school diploma being necessary in Korea to get into an art school but that does not apply everywhere. I have a niece who was completely home-schooled and never went to public or private school but graduated from RISD and has worked as an artist on a slew of major cartoons including The Simpson.
I think you guys missed the part Jungwoo said that Jisoo's preparing to take the GED test to get a diploma equivalent to a highschool diploma...or maybe you havent read that chapter yet
