It's because he wasn't so kind right off the bat. In her first time in the novel, she had to work hard to get him to open up to her. So, yes she knows he's kind but that was as they got older, not on their first meeting. He's too self-contained and forgives everthing which she finds odd for a kid his age. Hope that helps~

I only read until chapter 3 so far. I think this might be good, but Im really confused— so for me to enjoy this I need to understand. Pls- can someone explain what is going on? She died, reincarnate in novel, die again, go back in time— I got that much- but why is it she seems so confused as to why he is so kind- didn't you already deal with that kindness before (〜￣△￣)〜
