My point is...forget surrogacy, 2000 is a year where even Facebook hasn't launched. You can't judge this old manga with today's common sense, it's funny. Of course it is already possible at that time but not as accessible like today (likewise with adoption)

Even today same sex marriage is ilegal in Japan, more adoption (even tho they can do adult adoption). And by 2000 surrogacy was only something whispered that Hollywood celebrities did it wasn't an option for gay couples in Japan. (Not that having 5 day brothers in the same family isn't fantasy enough lol)
Jesus these brothers are dense. If I was in a relationship where it's impossible for us to have kids with each other we'd adopt or seek out a surrogate mother if we want biological kids.
But in my case I'm barren and I originally don't want kids so it's a win win.
