Why does he hate the curse so much?

I feel like its bec of the circumstances that he had face that he had become hateful of his powers. Like he was octrasize and lock away bec of that power and he was too young at that time and I think if its reality, its hard to have that power bec it comes with great responsibility. Like you'll hear peoples thought and sometimes there are cases that you have to pick between getting involved to help if you read a killing intent in someone's thought or just let it eat your conscience for not being able to help. Its a gift and a curse with a a heavy responsibility at the same time
