I think that's a very surface level and limited perspective on their relationship. Lauren was emotionally manipulative to Chip from the beginning. He told him to "wait" while he barely put in any effort and the moment he does, Chip was rightfully already done. No openly gay person should have go into hiding again for anyone. Lauren lied and kept things hidden the entire time. And although that's his choice, he took that choice from Chip. Chip got into a relationship with a person who was not who he said he was.

not only was he not understanding of his partner not wanting to do it bc he said liked mental attraction more,he yelled over pants, a couch and cheating with no proof body shamed him and then cheats multiple times… he sucks
