For the first question, i think its because he thinks its interesting or something? Maybe he thought, 'this didnt happen last time, might as well see how this goes.'
Or maybe he sees nice judith as an opportunity to not become fully depended of his uncle or something, since he currently acts like he is displeased by his uncle.

While Judith is the real Judith from the novel. But in her case she died, then reincarnate to Korea, and transmigrated to Judith when the time reverses (or something along the line)
