Let me tell you the spoiler about the letter in order to understand what the letter is first read the spoiler which I gave in the comments below , now for the letter it's from liberta mother's brother!! He requires soul power to live and as liberta has that soul power he does experiments on her to extract it !! That's why he wrote the letter telling she survived now but he will do more experiment on her. And that's the soul reason why liberta got Raphael that soul disease.. it was because of her mother's brother!!!
Also the real villain of the story is liberta uncle!!
