Yea but from what I got, it’s not that he is cold to her because of what happened with the first queen. It’s because Blanche is softhearted, he’s afraid of what it will be like if she is remains that way and is made queen. At least that’s what he said in one of the scenes (in his head).
Maybe now but initially and maybe subconsciously he rejected her because of his trauma. I don't think he even knows he is traumatized given that he is king, his feelings don't matter also long as he governs the country.

Sooo from the comments he was raped (yes men can get raped too because some of yall are idiots) at 14 and forced to have the rape baby. While i get it is not the child's fault, it is also not his.
