Damon is the son of the duke's twin and their half-sister, and if I remember right his brother or him killed their parents and everyone involved except Philip, and then the duke's twin killed himself so that his brother could live happy, because the twins had to fight and one of them had to die so that the next duke would be chosen but the duke's twin didn't want to fight because he was kind hearted and loved his brother, so he killed himself, its confusing tho, I don't recall if it was the duke or his twin-brother that killed the rest of the family and everyone that was involved, except Philip.
