Well, in short it is the love story between a noblewoman and a knight ( a commoner ). She was beaten by her father as a child, and forced into marrying a knight she didnt know.
He went to war and became a hero and after being without any news from her husband this knight comes back to save her from her father who kept beating her.
The art is good and there some art references about the preraphaelite painters.
