Bruh she went through so much in her past life to survive and now she suddenly had to get in business relationship with him to save her sister from dying while she's still trying to survive
Duke keeps complaining and walking off without explaining or telling her anything and he's mad she doesn't understand him, she has her own things to deal with and in no way is she obliged to love him, have affection for him or stay up thinking about him, she only came there to stay for a year to save her sister from dying and to provide heir to the family
How is she ignoring him and avoiding conversation when he's the one who keeps walking away from the situation

I agree with u that she's gone thru a lot in her long past. I feel so bad for her :(. But Theodore keeps walking away during conversations because she's got her walls too high during the conversation and isn't opening up at all. Theodore feels left out because she knows practically every secret of his, but he knows nothing about her. Granted he isn't owed this information, but it's almost like she's oblivious to the fact that he would want to know anything about her, and keeps walking on eggshells
This is, sadly, true. But I do feel bad for Theodore who has had every angle of his exposed to the ml and though he isn't owed anything from her, she isn't willing to take any responsibility for him. She still plans on just having a child and leaving in less than a year. I wish she would open up more :(

That would be nice if she opened up but then again she doesn't want to and isn't yet comfortable with it so he has to respect that
She's been through several types of abuses and the fact that she started a new life doesn't mean the trauma is gone, she's not going to heal that fast and start opening up
And yeah Theo grew up pretty shitty life without any love, and that's what he's looking for
But she doesn't owe him that
It was his own choice to open up to her
She never forced him to
She did what was asked of her and is fulfilling her duties as she should
There was nothing in the contract that said she is required to care for him
I'm not saying I don't support the male lead tho
They're both struggling rn and I want to see both of them heal from what they went through and live in peace

It's just unfortunate that he doesn't know the reason shes not communicating is due to that, and not that she hates him. Which, she doesn't really like him either tho...poor Theo lol

I truly love her character, and her traumas and past are totally valid, I just wish there wasn't such a huge gap in communication. I do have to give it to the author tho, usually gaps in communication in these romance stories aren't very valid

Don't take this wrong bc I love the ml so much but she is more in the wrong here than Theodore is. Girl literally saved his life, and is his wife, and is confused by his affection. She also being kinda weirdly ignorant of his emotions. She's also totally ignoring him because of her past love and acting like she isn't. It isn't her fault, but she doesn't have to take it out of Theodore like that by ignoring him and not having a conversation with him. She says HE is ignoring HER but she never goes out of her way to initiate a conversation. When they met at the hammock she had no intention of waking him up. GIRL WAKE UPPPP
