I just reread the manhua and when the first empress told Hong lian about it “I was the reason you met JJX, the reason you slept with him” Hong lian replied with “my task was to only distract him from Shen yu, I didn’t have to follow everything else” so I’m guessing that means he didn’t sleep with JJX but was just distraction? Also I’d like to know how to they explain how they didn’t sleep together in the novel if you could lead me to it pleaseee

I can't really recall who said it to Shen Yu. But it's between HongLiang or JXX, he did find out that JXX didn't have seggs with Hong Liang. In fact, HongLiang became his BFF and confidant and expert guru in giving tips on how to make JXX fall for him harder (⌒▽⌒) (the famous 2x a month seggs policy between Shen Yu and JXX was all courtesy of HongLiang)
