I don't agree with most of these comments. The only thing I was mad with the ex was how he handled the break up because yes, he did terrible at that, but even so, this situation is not normal and there is not right or wrong way of dealing with it. There is no right choice with whom he should stay with (though we know some background and we're not a fan of his current bf but ex doesn't know about it). This is incredibly difficult and hard situation and everyone here acts like they know the answer XD but none of us knows how we'd behave if we were in this kind of situation. Would we handle the break up better? perhaps, but maybe he was so harsh with it to quickly cut ties with the mc and thought that maybe it'd be easier for mc to move on after that. Maybe he considered himself more in this situation? Even if he did, I don't blame him, it's been 5 years, he finally moved on and it turned out mc was alive all along. If the story was shown from the perspective of the new boyfriend (and if he woudn't do some of the things, but if he'd be the mc he pobably woudn't XD) everyone would be on his side. All the hate for the ex annoys me a little XD I cannot judge him and I woudn't judge people in this situation irl. I probably would a little if that'd happen to me, because i'm human XD but i'd like to think That I woudn't judge too hard
I know this is ficton but smth like this happens to people sometimes and there is just not a right way to deal with it. There'll always be this voice in their head asking, what if I chose the other one.
