hes the epitome of power symbol and every restrictions and hierarchy that comes with it but never bothered to change things up so helena can move freely among social statuses. either hes incredibly foolish with the power he holds OR he purposefully, with malevolent intent, knowingly put helena in the middle of class struggle just to torment her. either way, im with you on to hell with him (and other men like him irl)
if you have to choose who to hate in the story, pick the prince. b-tch obv don't regard hierarchy at all and does what he wants. even if someone's nice af, they still has customs and rules to follow especially in a monarchy ruled kingdom. i get that eris shouldn't have been that mean but she's been trying hard to excell in everything since birth. then all of a sudden a pretty and nice girl takes everyone's attention away and suddenly start treating her like she's a saint? yeah i'd be hella mad too (〜￣△￣)〜
