well personally I hate harems and have a love-hate relationship with reverse harems. Most of the popular harems have the same basicass plot where a bunch of pretty or special girls fall for an average guy just because he's "different" (tho he's like any other hoe). They also sexualize girls a lot in that genre,, (not that reverse harems don't but they do it less) from making the guy fantasize about their body parts to making a accident in which he actually touches them. Reverse harems have a pretty big diversity in their genre (uta no prince-sama, kiss him not me,, same x prince caravan and magic kyun renaissance are some good examples) and have unique characters. While I do agree with you on the topic of it hurting all parties included if in real life,, they are fictional.

As for me i doesnt really like both genre, althou its fictional i keep thinking that if it happened in real life theres no way all parties gonna be happy, theres no such thing called justice in love, theres gonna be one who got more favour than the rest..
