the label doesn't matter...if you have a brother who is, oh, 10 or so, and some adult falls in love with him...it will make you uncomfortable..if you have a child who is 8 or 10, and a straight guy or gal of 17 or 20 decides they are in love with them...it will put you off.
I've read this from the start, and I still get some icky feelings thinking about the earlier parts. I respect Haru's wanting to wait for Ren to be older, but let's face it, the situation is hardly something fully agreeable or comfortable. It definitely is a taboo-whacker.
But dude, ren isnt 10yo. He is high schooler! Most kid nowadays already sexually active in middle school why do you guys make fuss about high schooler love story with guys that apparently only 5yo older than him?

While I do agree with you in your first statement, that a 8&17 relationship it's hard too understand, and even though I'm pretty open minded it irks me, I truly believe that this didn't start as love. Or at least, not romantic love. Haru tends to be really friendly with anyone, specially if he really likes them, and I think he got close to Ren because he saw his loneliness in him, not because he had that kind of interest that later he developed. And I see ren's feeling growing from infatuation to love too. Now the problem goes for when they meet again and Ren is 13-14, still young, but I let it slide having in mind how mature Ren was... For his age, at least. I am not ranting, if it may have sound like that. I just wanted to share opinions with you, since this matter I find it really interesting :)

I dont get how people immediately label Haru as a pedophile, like seriously. Haru fell in love with Ren, and Ren just happened to be under age. Haru did not fall in love with Ren BECAUSE he is under age. I mean, the technical requirement for a pedophile is liking kids, right? Just take it this way, a guy who always went out with girls suddenly falls in love with another guy, but not just any other guy, just this one guy, he is not automatically considered as homosexual but rather a bisexual, right? Unless of course after falling in love with that guy, he falls in love again with another guy, THEN he is already a homo, am i right? In Haru's case, Ren is the only person (male and underage) he loves at the moment, so how is he a pedophile then? If he leaves Ren and then goes for another underage then thats when you should call him a pedophile. But that's unlikely to happen. Besides, Ren acts and thinks more mature than his age. I dont see how impossible it is to fall in love with someone like him. So I understand how Haru fell for him. If Ren was a real human, even I would fall for him, and Im a 25 year old girl. (so are you going to call me a pedophile too?)
