its not fetishizing if you read yaoi, until you take it too far. the reason so many mlm are against people reading is because o their own experiences with people who do, which is honestly plain stereotypical of them. i personally would prefer if you used bl instead of yaoi, just because yaoi is plain porn, meanwhile bl actually had plot, and can show the true meanings of how its like being gay
Hello i have a gen question and i wanna know your opinions about it, i saw a tiktok just now and the content was basically if you read yaoi then you’re instantly fetishizing mlm relationships and that reading yaoi is bad. I know that bl is the new term we should use but is it really wrong to read yaoi? I know yaoi is a sub category of bl and is among the 3 kinds (bara, shounen ai, yaoi) i dont really see any problem with reading it tho just as long as you know how to separate reality from fiction and you dont fetishized
