He died even before they actually met. The main lead met him in the memory world made by the cat. As you can see monk found the drummer that will complete the band so I guess the timeline of the main lead meeting the guys on the memory world was when they were in college and not that successful yet.
I found this story in my recently-just-started-watching-anime-and-reading-manga sister's manga collection, so I wanted to read what she was reading. There were some parts of the story I still don't understand. Also the side characters-- what's gonna happen to they guy with Leukemia. Did he actually never exist in their real world?? Did he actually die?? What happened to Monk?? Did I miss something in the story?
Aside from all of that, my god slow burns and angst are just *shefs kiss* Aaaaa that extra kiss scene was so fuckin worth it. But the story holy shit– Man hit me like a truck. Why was this so realistic, that was the last thing i needed. Now my eyes look like ping pong balls from all the crying.
