I've 100% read the one you're describing, but I can't remember the name of it. Maybe it was in an anthology? I'm really bothered that I can't find it now haha. I'll keep trying.
@Akari it totally was that one!!! thank you, for some reason I could not remember anything except the overall plot. after going through my whole reading and read section I could not find it at all! thank you for helping me out, it was starting to drive me a little crazy ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Yay!! I'm glad. I was looking through stuff yesterday doubting myself because I thought the ending was different from what I remembered after I reread it.
yaoi, this guy is in love with... i want to say a school friend, he doesn't want to confess because he is scared about ruining the friendship. one day an apparition of his friend appears at his house and he is completely consumed with the "spirit" of his friend. at some point the mc cannot tell whether the "spirit" is real or still just his imagination. totally consumed the mc stops hanging out with friends/co-workers to make sure he gets home to the spirit so that it wont disappear.
I cannot remember the name at all or the cover art :(
