He’s doing it to legitimize his and Trashta’s baby so he can have an heir. Remember he asked Navier to recognize their child as hers and she refused, and he also believes Navier to be infertile. In his head this is all temporary and he’ll divorce Trashta and then make Navier his empress again.
He’s being both an idiot and a douche but he’s got “reasons” and a “plan”. And he really deserves everything that will happen to him and more. (╬￣皿￣)凸
