Someone might have gotten hurt tho. The guy clearly had a weapon. And you clearly wouldn't have know what to do in that situation bc you clearly never have been in one. If you were in that situation what would you do?
Us humans aren't superman. This isn't a movie where we can just grab anything and hit them and we are saved. There are different methods. And fighting the person off is a really risky one and the brother wanted to save his brother. He knew that his boyfriend was going to come to save him so that's why he chose a safer option, to save more time and no one will get hurt
