i don't remember exactly but i'm pretty sure no romance ends up happening and some stuff happens regarding tess's assimilation of the elder guardian core and stuff. i never finished all the recent chapters of the novel but i did read at least 50-75 ch [after art goes to the school] and no romance happens during that time (from what i remember)
