I am unsure myself too.
I think Rido dont want to lose friend more than Kido. Being a keeper is not always lover. It may be a friend too.

It's good it's a happy ending yass but what's with rio saying that "You are the one I'm trying to hold on to, kido" feels like he is still hung up on kido after all this three volumes
