I don't see her acts as heroic, I see a dumb character who doesn't know how to act, and doesn't know how to use her tools to find information she needs to survive (aka the book novel that contains all the details that she still has), it's still a good story to me, but I just had to point out things I found to be stupid.

I agree, but this is not the modern times where everyone is supposed to be equal, this is supposed to be an empire in the ancient times, and the number one woman in an empire is the empress, so there's a limit to what you can say to her without risking being beheaded, even if it's not fair to you or you find it offensive, you can not go to an empress and tell her how she didn't raise the emperor with love even if that were to be true, especially if you don't hold no relations to the imperial family and what's worse the emperor himself is a trayant, so there's no guarantee he will save your ass when you offend the imperial family ... so the FL is literally taking a huge risk talking back when she's there to save herself from death to begin with..
yeah i kinda get what you mean, i just tend not to think too much when reading isekai romance, if the art is pretty and the characters are hot and i don't feel much second hand embarrassment it's good. i read parts of the novel so i might be prejudiced bc i really liked her character, but i don't understand what you meant by hero complex. do u mean something like how she unnecessarily steps up to save others? it kinda felt like "i volunteer as tribute" to me, idk i really liked reading the hunger games when i was younger.
What I mean about it is her having to do unnecessary things to prove that "she's brave", you know how some people love to speak up just to prove that they are all that and to be seen as heroes without them calculating the results of their actions or the fact that they could be bringing bunch of other people who are related to them down because they don't know when to zip it, it's kind of like that , cause realistically what would and should've happened is that she gets arrested for offending the royal family, and the emperor wouldn't give a fuck if she gets punished or executed or whatever, because he's a trayant and he hates people who are incompetent and don't know their place, or at least that how he was described, so in all honesty there's no reason for him to get out of his way and personalty protect a "trainee" who unknowingly added the fuel to the fight between him and the empress and made things even more complicated for him... but it's all thanks to "plot armor" that she gets to survive and be seen in a positive light lol.
