Why are y'all

why are y'all so excited right now? The dude is cute and all but he stole a treasure and gifted it to her like an idiot. Like no permission was taken at all. Now she's getting screwed over bc of it. Why are there no comments scolding his behavior and just wake-up bitch comments? I genuinely want to know.

    I was gonna say. Like, did he expect to be always alert and able to protect her if they found that it is was in her possession? Kinda dumb to expect it to just be a-okay with how precious that is

    Him waking up is the only way she'll get out of this. He f-ed up so he should fix it but he can't cause his dumbass asleep and now she's getting dragged cause he's a dumbass. So most people are screaming WAKE UP AND FIX THIS

    If you remember he kinda got permission. His father told him he could take whatever he wanted from the treasury and I’m not sure with the way he ignores costumes he was aware he’d need anymore permission than that. He may also not have know it was some important treasure people would freak out about. It may just be a careless mistake on his part

    That's not something to be ignored. Careless mistakes can have drastic consequences. Dropping a cigarette that's not properly snuffed out can start a fire if near a flammable object. Leaving a baby with your 3-year-old who's sick for a few minutes can get the baby sick too. If we excuse those sorts of things, then we would be in even worse shape. The ignorance is hard to justify since he had the opportunity, he just didn't care. I don't understand the comments trying to justify it. He should have had a follow-up with the emperor to make sure he was aware of what would be taken (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

    I’m not saying it wasn’t stupid, but in criminal cases intent is part of the crime because we recognize there is a difference between stupidly/a mistake and malice. Going back to your example, a stupid teen who accidentally starts a forest fire with a flicked cigarette or a single teen Mom who leaves her baby with the three year old when she goes to make dinner is a lot different from an arsonist pouring gasoline all over the place before lighting it up or a frustrated Mom who smothers their child. I think the former doesn’t make people evil just human and they can learn and do better. I don’t think that with the latter and (I know you probably don’t mean it this way), but you are coming off like there is no difference between the two and I think that is what people are pushing back against. It’s easy to say in hindsight you should have known not to flick your cigarette, but I don’t honestly think someone at that time would have thought the result would be some massive fire. We’ve all done stupid things. Remember he’s like 23. Did you never do anything stupid when you were 23? Never drank to excess for example even though you shouldn’t do that. To be clear I’m not saying he’s completely guiltless or there shouldn’t be any consequences, but as long as he’s sorry and repentant I don’t think he’s unforgivable or a horrible person. He was talking about bringing her into the royal family and protecting her and even gets viciously mad when she’s pushed into the water. Maybe he should have foreseen the situation. Remember his whole life no one has ever really stopped him from doing anything and he’s not used to caring about others or thinking about how is actions can effect them. He’s immature and naive when it comes to this stuff. As the saying goes he’s young dumb and full of cum. From the story it’s clear he wasn’t thinking this was a possibility.
    For it to be unforgivable foreseeable though, in my opinion, one of three things would had to have happened. He would have had to have done this before with a similar result because then he really should have known. Someone else would need to see or known what he’s done and been explicitly warned him, but been ignored. Or he would have had to do it maliciously giving it to her with this being the result he had in mind. I don’t think it was any of those so I think it was just an honest mistake on his part. I expect this will cause him to self-reflect a bit more and perhaps grow and mature as a person

    first off-hate alchohal(never touched it, never want to)
    2nd off- agree that malice vs accidental is COMPLETELY different{I'm just pissed that the author is playing it off in a way that makes him seem more pitiful then he should be}

    Sure. The “Young, dump and full of cum” thing isn’t even an expression I came up with. My Grandma used to use it sometimes before she passed. She was a real character. I don’t know what it’s from originally, but I’m sure she would be honored if the expression was more widely circulated as a part of her legacy ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

    Yo i just found out- i got corona! I'm sad cuz everyone's getting annoyed with my coping mechanism. Making jokes to make myself feel better isn't bad but whatever, what can you do. So sorry about your Grandma, seems like she was a real one. I will make sure to spread her legacy ╥﹏╥
