She did everything thing to do so but in the end her father made her brother the successor . So she legally opposed her brother in a life and death battle . Many Nobels found her behaviour unpleasant . She thaught she could end this by killing her brother . Even after going through her brother's army .....at the end she wasn't able to kill her brother . Her brother said she can kill him if she wants but never will be able to . Then her brother gets on his knees and announces her as the empress and admits defeat
