There actually was some sexual cheating but it was VERY early in the relationship and wasn't a major plot point. Their relationship just wasn't fully defined yet.

on the earlier parts.. the ml need to consume blood to sustain the life of mc who is not his lover or anything. Back then, it was just a responsibility of him to sustain the mc's life so he wouldnt die (cos their lives are linked). So he slept w/ a woman to drink blood. When the mc noticed the scratch marks, he drove him away and yep. That's where the development of their relationship started.
