It's bother her bcs they're basically saying that she's a slut. I think she felt that her pride as a woman that doesn't even married yet tainted by their remarks. If it was me, i would react like her too.

Why do people care so constantly about other people's opinions when it Dosent affect them. People worry to much about these types of things and it causes unnecessary stress, leading to anxiety and depression even to suicidal actions. If a worker was to speak badly about a boss that doesent pay much attention to them, either the boss would fire them or they wouldn't care, afterall they're the ones paying them not the other way around.
