To be fair it is just a promo so it can't show everything. but I totally get how that misunderstanding would develop.
The novel shows how Erin was manipulative and always got him into trouble. Here they paint her as only heartbroken. The cheating wasn't it, don't get me wrong(▰˘◡˘▰). But the promo makes her much more pitiful than she actually was. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ Can't do much for the ml other then this.
*The erin I'm talking about is the og that ended up dying
