And also earlier in the manga, Amane also said that he could never leave the school so (lol this may not make sense)as punishment for his own guilt hanako chooses to stay at the school as a ghost and allows his projection of “Amane” to haunt him
That may not have made sense but that’s just my thought on it

Ya'll, what if the tsukasa ghost that killed ghost mitsuba was actually a manifestation of hanako's/amane's guilt or loss of tsukasa? Technically hanako/amane would say he killed tsukasa because tsukasa sacrificed himself in order to heal hanako/amane, right?
Maybe the actual ghost of tsukasa was never in the school and was actually in the red roof house the whole time? So maybe the evil tsukasa at the school is a projection of hanako's/amane's guilt over the loss of tsukasa.
Maybe hanako/amane had a really strong feeling of regret over the loss of tsukasa throughout his living life and that regret took form when hanako/amane became one of the seven mysteries?
