Uno isn't that selfish. He did it so Candy doesn't have to. Especially now that he noticed Candy is starting to fall for him.
He's selfish, he likes candy. Candy's official mission was to seduce Hajun and gain intel on him on where his father is at, if I recall he doesn't even need to kill Hajun he just needs to gain intel and dip when the order happens.
Exactly, it was way too obvious he wanted to prevent candy getting disposed of by HQ by NOT making him the trigger like they ordered

Did you read the latest chapter? It's all explained there. The HQ planned yo kill Hajun since the beginning and kept it a secret from Candy on purpose. Of course there's a possibility that Uno was lying, but Candy calling the HQ confirms that it's true that they were going to order him to kill Hajun eventually.
