A sudden plot twist that put you off the story but you still gotta see it through? Til then - put it on hold
you can always just click off "subscribe this manga" box if you want updates to stop, i've been doing that.

we need an ‘on hold’ list cuz sometimes there are things i’m not reading at the moment but not quite ready to completely drop yet. I’m sick and tired of seeing the updates notifications, getting excited, then it turns out it’s just mangas that i’m not reading but wanna come back to in the future
