i get what you're saying and i agree for the most of it, but the ml doesn't see his mother in the fl, he's reminded of the love that his mother gave her. im not sure if that makes sense but he said that he felt empty, or wasn't sure what to feel before he saw the fl... i guess what im trying to say is that he was reminded by the "warmth" and not his mother from the fl

Love a rational FL, I wish she would have just told the possible ML (he ain't ML in my mind) straight up that he doesn't love her, he just wants to own her.
She should point out that he is toxically manipulative, what with that dream spell shit. What's more disturbing was how all this started from his POV. She reminds him of Spring flowers that he saw with his Mother once. So is he seeing a glimpse of his Mother in FL? Why? Not to mention if that was the reason for his attraction to her, I gotta say he's got more than one issue to work out... Dude needs a lot of counselling.
