I dont think she's dumb. Actually didnt she predict things, maybe she's just a coward but we will probably have a character development
I think the novel does a better job explaining her decisions cause it’s more detailed
She’s not dumb, she’s just a coward. Which could be argued to be worse but she’s highly intelligent.
I think her fear has clouded her judgement and IQ for too long, which is why we readers, who have never felt like we're under the threat of dying every single day, feel like she's too dumb and not the least bit sensible.
Going through what she's gone, I'd probably have died long ago because of my quick temper. So for her to have lasted this long, you can tell her self-preservation instinct is quite strong
