I may be a lil biased bcs Arjen is my favourite but I get so annoyed with things like this. If the author was only going to focus on one character's happiness and put that character in the spotlight, then the author should've only had one main character to begin with. Otherwise, I think it's not impossible for the story to focus on both Arjen and Arien. The fact that Arjen is going to sacrifice his own power for Arien's side of the story to continue going is pretty stupid in my opinion. Why does he have to be the one who works extra hard just because his sister needed his power or whatever? I suppose life and death situations are different but that's just how I feel. Someone shouldn't have to sacrifice their all just because another person needs them to. Especially if it means that someone will end up being on the short end of the stick
IKR!!!! And why does she have to end up with her gaurdian of all people?! I guess technically they are the same age but I want get to end up with a prince or some dukes son bc aren't there some people already who have a crush on her?! Dang she just choose one this makes me so sad frustrated and angry
Hey guys, don't belittle being a knight too much, just like how the previous comment stated, maybe he was actually happy being a knight, however you do all have the right to atleast feel upset and annoyed with the spoiler (just as I said, I'm dropping this for now and wait for it to be completed to lessen the pain).
But don't shame the author nor the story too much since we still don't know the full context of what will happen because the execution might be better than we think (I hope).
Well I think from the start everything was from Arien's perspective its just that she shared the same ideas and opinions as Arjen. As the story progresses, they are becoming different people, so now the story is sticking with Arjen like it always did, but its more obvious now since she acts differently from Arjen now
SPOILERS
So I read some spoilers of this from novel updates and I don't think I can continue reading cause I just feel unfair with what would happen...
So from what I've read, Arjen will give all his imperial magic powers to Arien to protect her, though it was only supposed to be half, he accidentally gave all of it to her.
From then on, he worked more on practicing his swordmanship to not be powerless, while Arien grew up to be one of the strongest magician and ends up being with their guardian (I think?). And Arjen stays single cause he is very focused on being a knight.
I can't bear to continue reading after discovering this cause I know how happy and connected Arjen was with his imperial powers and just the thought of him having that taken away (wether he wanted to or not) just seemed so unfair ╥﹏╥
